Overnight in Otaru. I knew the weather was not good today, but there was much rainfall!
I’m not going to be discouraged because I’ve come to Hokkaido!
I plan to take a little detour this time.
Sixty kilometers northeast of Otaru, I saw a familiar sign in the Ishikari Plain!
There is a place called “Shiso,
Wow, oh my goodness!
I have brought these documents. Settled Shinsinotsu village 120 years ago from Shiso. Amazing! I want to see what it looks like now.
I found “Shinshinotsu” at a roadside station and let’s go!
At the reception desk of the roadside station, I asked about local specialties of Shinshinotsu.
I was told, “A cake made from rice,” and “It’s handmade by local people.”
I want to eat that! I could smell the delicious aroma of rice and it tasted pretty good.
I asked the lady at the reception desk, “Well, do you know the name of the place in Shiso?”, and she said, “Wait a minute,” and went to the back office to check, after that, she told me with a smile, “It’s near the roadside station.
I left immediately! It was still raining.
In the rain, I could confirm that there is a bus stop. However, I could not confirm the existence of Shiso Hall.
Now, if I keep going north, I will arrive at Asahikawa. Speaking of Asahikawa, Ramen! Let’s eat it!
I set off for “Yoshino Honten”, which Mr. Himura had eaten on last week’s TV program “Sekkaruk Gourmet”!
About 10 people waited outside in the rain.
After waiting outside for about an hour, now, my seat looks shining.
Miso ramen topped with chashu pork and lots of vegetables. This is amazing! I can’t see the noodles!
After about 10 minutes of bean sprouts and chashu pork, I finally had noodles!
Thank you for the meal. It was a late lunch, just after 2:00.
” Yummmmmy!” I cried out in my heart.
The rain is getting heavier and I got a hotel, so I will stay one night in Asahikawa.
In the evening, I left the hotel thinking I would have a light dinner, but I ended up eating a full meal.
It is a local favorite, “Gelasic Hamburger Steak.”
I ate it quickly. Thank you very much for the meal.
