Single Motorcycle Trip of the President in Hokkaido 2024 Day Seven

It has been a week since I left the company.
Even though I have a good reason for doing this “experiment for a new trial product,” I am grateful to all the employees who are willing to send me off.
Thank you! Thank you!

Let me tell you about the Ribmax Resort Hakodate Greenpia Onuma, where I stayed yesterday.

When I arrived yesterday around 8:00 p.m. and was checking in at the front desk, the employee asked me, “Where did you park your motorcycle?” I thought I was going to get another warning, but he said, “Please park closer to shelter from the rain”, so I could park my motorcycle closer to the entrance. I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency of the employees.

Rooms are clean! Buffet breakfast has a lot of variety! The hot spring has many kinds of bathtubs! The price is reasonable! Thanks to Greenpia Onuma!

The purpose is to go around Onuma National Park and buy souvenirs at “Nikka Whiskey Factory in Yoichi”. This is a standard course.
I decided to take the course to Otaru so that it will be the third time.

While returning to the direction of Oshamambe on Route 5, I turned left and headed toward Suttu town. I saw a large windmill on the way north on Route 229 at a steady pace, so I decided to stop by. I found a small gravel road that seemed approachable! I hung on tight to the steering wheel and slowly and meticulously moved closer to the windmill! It’s so big! The sound is loud, too! Vroom-vroom!

As I entered Kyowa town, almost passing through, I found the Horoni Railway Memorial Park (old Iwanai line)!
It was cute, so I took a picture!

On the way from Kyowa town to Yoichi, I saw a sign “Mukashitokibi” on the left. A quick stop!

“Sweet! Emi Gold” and “Delicious! Mukashitokibi” What is the difference between them?
When I asked the owner, she replied, “The latest corn has been improved to be sweeter, but it has lost some of its flavor. I was surprised to hear that.
I was surprised at the depth of agriculture!
Of course, I ordered “Mukashitokibi” (old corn).

It was boiled in salt and has a good salty. While I ate, it could bring back fond memories for me.
This is it! This taste! A taste that I haven’t had lately and that used to have when I was little. I almost cried at the taste.
I had no idea corn could make me cry! lol!
It brings back childhood memories and I was moved!
It seems that it is quite difficult to preserve the old corn seeds.

As is always the case due to poor prep research, the store closed at 3:30. I realized it was past 4:00.
I can’t get into the Nikka Whiskey factory!
For a moment, the face of my friend who was eagerly awaiting his souvenir sake flashed through my mind, but I decided to change my mind!
I decided to buy Yoichi wine as a souvenir this time.
Sorry, my friend!

Last Hokkaido dinner before boarding the ship!
My Hokkaido gourmet trip concluded at “Shikama”, Otaru sushi and Japanese dining. I had a little bit of luxury. I really chose this restaurant because of the motorcycle parking lot, but I wish all restaurants would allow motorcycles to park in the car parking lot.
Coin parking is not responsive at all. Bikers love Hokkaido, but street parking is not allowed by the traffic law. Someone should talk to the governor of Hokkaido! I guess I ended up raising the motorcycle issue in Hokkaido. Thank you all for your patience. I will now board the boat for my return trip.

P.S. I bought some Hokkaido souvenirs as bingo prizes at this year’s Yamamaruto Motorcycle Meeting.
