Boarding of the Shin Nihonkai Ferry began shortly after 11:00 pm.
I went on board with more than 60 other bikers.
The vehicle deck is on the third floor, and the reception desk is on the fourth floor.
There is one store on board, where you can buy nibbles that you cannot buy in Honshu.
I had nibbles in my room.
Three kinds of snacks: “cheese and corn,” “cheese and herring roe,” and “cheese and scallops”.
The crunchy of the herring roe was a texture I’ve never had before! Delicious!
As a petit information, I recommend that you take a quick look at the stores after boarding the ship, as the store is open only for a short time.
I had a beer and went to rest immediately. I woke up after 8:00 am.
Please note that the opening hours of the onboard restaurant are quite short.
Breakfast is from 8:00 to 9:00. Lunch is served from 12:00 to 1:00. Dinner is served from 18:00 to 19:00.
I overslept so I skipped breakfast.
For lunch on board, I had the “Shrimp Macaroni au Gratin Set” for 1,300 yen.
The taste was good. The food on the Shin Nihonkai Ferry has a good reputation.
The sky is always leaden. The weather in Hokkaido is worrisome.
For dinner, my last meal on the ship, I splurged a bit and ordered the “Hokkaido Beef Loin Steak Set.”
I thought the meat was a little overcooked, but it was tasty enough.
Well, it was almost 9:00 pm. I went near my motorcycle to prepare for disembarkation, and now it was time to go.
