Boss’s solo motorcycle trip in Hokkaido 2023, Day 5
今日も快晴。5日目になると体力とお尻がもたんなあ！とおもいながら。折角、道東まで来てるし、天気もいいし、知床の知人を突然訪問して驚かせるみたいな事、出来るといいなと網走を出発。

By the fifth day, my strength is not up to the task and my hips are sore! I thought to myself, “What am I going to do today?
Since I had come all the way to the east of Hokkaido and the weather was fine, I decided to surprise my friend in Shiretoko by visiting him unexpectedly! I decided to leave Abashiri.
国道244号から334号線を一気に知床のウトロを目指します。この写真は、何気ない途中の風景ですが、どこを切り取っても絵になりますね北海道！皆さんお気付きになりましたか？ハンターカブのまたぐ処に何やら括り付けているもの。
From Route 244 to 334, I headed for Utoro in Shiretoko at a quick pace.
This picture is an ordinary scenery on the way, but it is picturesque no matter where I take it!

そうです。手土産を括り付けています。知床のウトロと言う所で大自然を相手に皆さんに楽しんで頂くガイドを日本で初めて「稼ぐガイド業」にされた有名な社長に会いに行くのに「手ぶらは、無いわな」という事で、好きであろうビールをコープで買って、100円ショップで買ったゴムロープで縛っています。
That’s right. I have a souvenir strapped to my motorcycle.
I went to Utoro in Shiretoko to meet the famous president of the first guide company in Japan to make ” guide business” that allows everyone to enjoy the great nature.
Before the visit, I thought, “I can’t go empty-handed,” so I bought beer at the Coop, which I knew he would like, and tied it up with a rubber rope I bought at a 100 yen shop.
知床ネイチャーオフィスの松田社長は、今も大人気のガイドを自らされているのでお忙しいのを邪魔する訳もいかず、予定も聞かず、連絡もせず。突撃！見事にお会いする事叶わず。スタッフの女性の方がおられたので、例の物をお渡ししました。松田社長、シーズンオフになったらまた宍粟市に遊びに来てください。お待ちしてます。
Mr. Matsuda, the president of Shiretoko Nature Office, is still a very popular guide himself.
I cannot interrupt his busy schedule.
But I didn’t ask him about his schedule, nor did I contact him. I rushed into the office!
Sure enough, I was not able to meet the president.
The staff was there, so I gave them a souvenir.

知床峠を越えて羅臼方面を過ぎ中標津町に入ったところで去年、大雨でライダーの聖地「開陽台」のソフトクリームを食べて無い事に気付きリベンジに行きました。
I crossed the Shiretoko Pass, passed Rausu area, and entered Nakashibetsu Town.
I realized that I had not eaten soft ice cream at “Kaiyodai,” a mecca for riders, during my solo trip last year due to heavy rain, I went there for revenge.
365度見渡す限りの快晴。北海道に来たどー！と心の中で大声で叫びました。「しあわせのはちみつソフト」と「2番人気の塩ジェラート」を美味しく頂きました。生き返ったー！フゥー！
365 degrees and clear skies as far as the eye can see.
I was in Hokkaido! I shouted out loud in my heart.
I enjoyed the “Honey of Happiness Soft” and the “2nd most popular salt gelato”.
I’m back to life! Whew!
北海道の牛ちゃんの新鮮なお乳が原料で地元のハチミツがたっぷり。甘い物好きにはたまりませんでぇ。おばちゃん、タップリとハチミツかけてくれて、ありがとう。
It is made from fresh milk of cows in Hokkaido and filled with local honey.
It’s perfect for those with a sweet tooth.
Thank you, auntie, for pouring so much honey on it.
摩周湖周辺を散策して、結局、釧路に泊まることにしました。お疲れ様です。明日は、天気が良く無いと予報に出ています。襟裳方面に行こうかな？
After taking a bike ride around Lake Mashu, I ended up staying in Kushiro.
I said good night to myself.
Tomorrow, the weather is forecasted to be not so good, so I think I will go to the Erimo area.
